quot why not be a bad person quot colin mcginn
At the end of the reading, “Why Not Be a Bad Person?” Colin McGinn suggests several maxims and further suggests we formulate some maxims of our own, “by way of homework.”
Select five maxims from McGinn’s list or create some of your own and explain why you think they should be followed. Be sure to explain the following:
- What good will be experienced by those who follow each maxim
- Explain any consequences of not following the maxim
- Assign a basic virtue to each maxim
- Describe how that particular virtue benefits an individual’s growth.
The list of five maxims can be drawn from McGinn’s list, your list, or any combination of both.
