peer review 105
You will be peer reviewing 3 other students . You will be responsible for commenting on your fellow students’ resume drafts
Feel free to use the rubric to assess their resumes, but I find leaving written feedback far more valuable. These there are three areas I’d like you focus on in your peer reviews and you can feel free to address them in the individual text-boxes you see best fit or just in the ‘Overall Comments’ text-box:
- What is your overall impression of the document? This may seem superficial, but remember that the people reading your resume may be reading quickly. At a glance, how do you feel about this person on paper?
- What are the document’s strengths? What would work in the person’s favor if you were hiring for a job? What is the most pertinent or impressive thing in the document?
- Suggestions for revision. How would you improve on this resume? How might you emphasize what’s already strong, and what would you change or omit?
Focus on being helpful rather than filling space. That being said, aim for at least 3-5 sentences per question.
