-This final paper is open-ended. The purpose is in part to gauge both your understanding and synthesis of the material. In 7 to 10 pages please discuss crisis and trauma from a psychoanalytic perspective, as you understand that perspective at this point. Because psychoanalysis aims to re-contextualize painful experience through both narrative and affective expression the process is necessarily a creative one. Please feel free to be as creative and expressive as your mind allows for. Because this material is painful and potentially triggering it is important to use theory as a means of grounding and guiding the way forward. To that end, allow your paper to be grounded as well as expressive. Mixed media projects are very much welcome.
