Choose three of the following diagnosable sexual dysfunctions:
- Premature ejaculation
- Female orgasmic disorder
- Vaginismus
- Male erectile disorder
- Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (male)
Review the DSM-5 diagnosis criteria for each disorder.
Write a 3- to 5-page report in which you do the following:
- Discuss implications for diagnosing each disorder, including these particular issues:
- Benefits and risks of diagnosis regarding:
- Personal and emotional implications
- Physical or medical concerns
- Relational implications
- Provide a brief personal commentary on each diagnosis regarding its use in a systemic therapy setting, including the following:
- What would be your primary areas of interest?
- What are your reactions to diagnosing and treating each particular disorder?
