imperialism and europeans
When thinking about Imperialism, sometimes the best sources of information come from unlikely places. Think about the two poems we read: The White Man’s Burden and the Black Man’s Burden. The poem by Rudyard Kipling was incredibly popular and wide spread. How did he feel about Imperialism, and what does it tell us about how Europeans justified their actions? Would Johnson have agreed?
