Objective I: The Leadership Paper requires you to write a paper on Leadership. Select a leader (PERSON) in business that you admire and prepare a paper on how this leader creates an environment that motivates people and helps build morale. What type of leadership style do you think the leader has, what make the company successful? Describe what you think makes this leader someone you would want to work for and be part of their organization. Discuss their education skills and previous positions that prepared them for this leadership position. What successes have the company reached under their leadership. The leader could be someone from the entrepreneurial world, non-profit, mid-size business, or a major corporation. (25 Points)

Objective II: (60 Points, 10 points each per subject)

1 ) Explain how this leaders uses the behavioral management approach that provides expectations for the employee.

2) Can a person be taught how to be a leader? Why or why not?

3) Do you think the leader you have chosen creates a vision of the future that considers the long term interests of the organization?

4) Utilize Douglas McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y and the basic leadership styles you think this leader demonstrates, and give examples of how.

5)Has the leader created quality of life improvements for the employees?

6) What is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and is this leader satisfying these needs, give examples of how he/she demonstrates each level identified towards the employees?
